Shipping Averages
We know that it can be scary to place an order when you don’t know what the shipping costs will be. So we’ve included some averages below. Disclaimer: These are just averages to give you a rough idea of your costs. They are not guaranteed. Also, these averages are only for commercial deliveries, deliveries to residential addresses will be higher.
Corsage Supplies (Fizz Designs Bracelets and Ribbons) – Typically 5% to 10% of the merchandise total, but can sometimes be more.
Silk – Typically 10% to 20% of the merchandise total, but can sometimes be more.
Baskets – Typically 15% to 35% of the merchandise total, but can sometimes be more.
Glass and Ceramics – Typically 20% to 40% of the merchandise total, but can sometimes be more.
Please note: We have seen residential deliveries of ceramics and glass that go great distances that have very high shipping costs! We strongly recommend that those looking to purchase ceramics, especially if far from Ohio, find a business address and order at least $200!
Is Shipping Free?
Sometimes people ask if we offer free shipping. Keep in mind that free shipping is usually offered with adjusted prices in the retail industry. The wholesale floral industry pricing structure is not set up to offer free shipping. We could raise our prices so we can offer it, but that would violate our actual pricing rules. Remember, there’s no such thing as a free lunch!
Shipping Estimates
In order to give you the best rate, we do not estimate shipping. Once your order is pulled and packed, the best true shipping rate will be calculated for you. If you request it, we’re happy to call you with the final total including shipping.
Business/Residential Delivery
We recommend that you provide us with a business shipping address. FedEx, UPS, and commercial truck companies charge extra for residential deliveries. Please note that the business/residential classification is set by the shipping service, not us. If someone currently lives or could live on the premises (like if there’s an apartment above the flower shop), the delivery service will not consider it a business address.
USPS Orders
We are happy to ship via the USPS, but you must allow an extra day to pick up the package. For same-day delivery via the USPS, there is an additional $23 handling fee.
Where do we ship?
Standard Shipping: All U.S. states and possessions, such as Guam or Puerto Rico, and U.S. Naval Bases
Special Shipping: The Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, Bermuda, and other countries are usually best shipped through a U.S. freight forwarder. Contact us for special arrangements to these areas or other countries.
Overnight Delivery
Overnight delivery is possible with FedEx, UPS, or USPS. However, please note that when you ship something overnight or the next day, you are purchasing a plane ticket for the box, which can cost hundreds of dollars per box, depending on the size of the package.
Valid Shipping Address
The customer must provide an absolutely valid shipping address where someone can receive the item from 8am to 5pm. If a re-delivery is needed, the customer is responsible for the re-delivery fee, and if there are any discrepancies, the customer is responsible for the address correction fee. Please enter your address carefully!
Refused Shipments
The customer is still responsible for shipping both ways, because if no one is available to accept the shipment, the delivery company will charge us not only for shipping to the shipping address, but also for shipping back to our warehouse. Make sure someone is on hand to receive the shipment!
